2020 has certainly been a very different year to date as we all watched the Covid 19 Pandemic unfold and the lockdown restrictions changed plans for all of us. We (Avril & Ian) have missed you, our guests, and hope that you all have been safe and well during the pandemic. In line with Government requirements we are looking forward to hosting you again at Peartree Hill.
In this changing world there is now a ‘new normal’ in which Ian and I want you to be confident that as we welcome you to, or back to, Peartree Hill you can be assured that your well being and that of other guests and family members is our highest priority and we are committed to providing you with a relaxing, refreshing and restful space in order for you to Stay Safely and Sleep Soundly at Peartree Hill.
Our Commitment to You
We will practise social distancing at all times. Guests are required to practise social distancing during their stay. Scrabo Suite and Strangford Room have direct entry from outside of the house. Ballymaglaff will have sole use of the front door and hallway.
Ample free parking easily facilitates social distancing.
Hygiene standards at Peartree Hill have always been reflected in our 5 * Grading but as per government cleaning advice in all spaces, high touch hard surfaces will also be disinfected and all linen will continue to be washed at 60°C. Please note that check-in times may be delayed to allow increased time for deep cleaning between stays. Procedures may change in accordance to Government Guidelines.
Check in will be as contactless as possible:
In order to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests and our family, upon arrival all guests will be required to have a mandatory temperature check. If your temperature is above 38 degrees Celsius (100.4 Fahrenheit) you will unfortunately be refused entry and advised to seek medical assistance. We will also be taking our own temperatures prior to your arrival. Should you develop a new and persistent cough and/or a fever prior to your arrival, we ask that you do not attempt to travel. Please inform us of your inability to fulfill your reservation and discuss cancellation policies. Cancellations will be dealt with digitally if you are unable to complete your stay. You will receive an email prior to check in to take you through the check in process.
The lounge will remain closed during Covid 19 Pandemic.The mezzanine dining area will only be available to multiple guests who are travelling together.
Due to the Covid restrictions we can no longer offer the option of breakfast on the mezzanine unless guests are travelling as a party. The option of a full a-la-carte breakfast to your room will continue. Menus will be sent digitally on a daily basis.
Enabling guests to practise good hygiene throughout their stay
Hand sanitiser will be available at entry points and anti-bactericidal soap in rooms.
Guests will be asked to place wet towels in soluble laundry bags to reduce contact. Servicing of your room is optional during your stay and will be discussed on arrival.
To reduce contact surfaces magazines, books and pamphlets have been removed from the room. However, information links for local attractions, restaurants etc will be provided digitally or by single use paper format for those without a smart device.
