Northern Ireland has a wealth of landscapes, landmarks, beaches, cultural spots, tours and delicacies; and Peartree Hill is an ideal base for your exploration of this warm and welcoming country.

ON OUR DOORSTEP

Comber Village

Comber is an historical village which has had a church from St Patrick's time but is more reknowned for being the birthplace of Thomas Andrews, designer of the Titanic. You can follow a walking tour related to the Andrews family. A village with Georgian influences and many lovely coffee shops.

WITHIN 30 MINUTES

Newtownards is a small town with an array of independant stores or if you prefer a walk with extraordinary scenery journey 10 minutes North East to Scrabo Tower for views of Strangford Lough, the small beachside airport and miles of green countryside.  For the more adventurous flying lessons or tours from the Newtownards airport are a wonderful way to survey our varied landscapes.

Within 20 minutes you can discover a County Down treasure, the world class Mount Stewart. The gloriously refurbished 19th century home and gardens of the Londonderry family, cared for by the National Trust, has everything needed for a memorable day trip.

For city lovers Belfast City Centre will satisfy your hunt for culture and colour in just a 25 minutes drive. Explore the Titanic visitor centre, Grand Opera House, Belfast City Hall, the Lagan River and more. Try St. George's Market (Fri - Sun), full of local artisan produce, specialty foods and live music; it's the oldest covered market in Ireland. For a great shopping trip, try Victoria Square, an open air mall of big brands, individual stalls and restuarants (be sure to visit the dome for a new view of the city).
